A day trip on Long Island to the end of the North Fork, Orient Point

We had a rough week behind us, and we wanted to pack up and go somewhere, to have new memories, fun times and new sights.

We chose to go to the North Fork of Long Island, all the way to Orient Point, the end of the Island. It is more laid back than the Hamptons. We wanted to have a pick-nick on the beach, but the beaches are only accessible for the local residents.

 
However we bought some nice produce from the local farms, and we enjoyed it for a good while at home. On the way home we stopped at an old fashioned ice cream place. The servings were huge. The flavors were unusual.

We definitely have to go back, there are too many beautiful wineries there.On the way home I had a glimpse of an antique store. Rather disheveled, but a strange beauty all together.

Elhataroztuk, hogy felpakolunk es elmegyunk valahova. Beultunk az autoba, es ugy dontottunk, hogy elmegyunk Long Island egyik csucskebe, Orient Point fele a North Fork oldalan  . Utkozben Greenporton is atautoztun, ami egy kis udulo varos.

Ez a resze Long Island vegenek nem olyan elitt mint a Hamptoni resz, es pont emiatt valasztottuk. Eleg zavaros hetunk volt, es arra vagytunk, hogy uj dolgokat lassunk, uj emelekeket szerezzunk es elvezzuk a nyarat. Sajnos a strandokra csak a helyi lakosok mehettek le, igy a piknik elmaradt...

Hoztunk haza finom termekeket a helyi farmokrol, es itthon azt ettuk jo sokaig. Hazafele megalltunk egy fagyisnal. Jo nagy adagot kaptunk, regi recept alapjan csinaljak oket, termeszetes alapanyagokkal. Es volt egy csomo eleg kulonleges iz.

Meg vissza kell mennunk, nagyon sok a szoleszet, es sokfajta bort termelnek.
